Appearance is solid, but the taste profile barely makes it to IPA category when it comes to hop freshness, distinctive tastes and freshness.

A black IPA nose, pillowy light tan head on a near black body. Heavily roasted malt and grain, molasses, citrus hops, and a hint of Belgian yeast, but really only a hint lead the taste profile. Butter and a touch of fresh ground coffee round out the taste experience. I like it, but it is not an Abbey Tripel. Not even close. so how do you rate that? I'll rate it as a black IPA, and a good one at that.

Grapefruit juice colour with a solid white head. Pungent nose leads with citrus pulp and rind hoppiness. A mixture of citrus and tropical fruit provide a refreshing snap to the taste profile. Orange, lemon, kiwi, and grapefruit all have a pulpy freshness. Very little in the way of malt backbone. A touch of soap and yeast finish off a drinkable brew.

Black pour, small off white head. Roasty, sweet, slightly boozy, light soy, cocoa, hints of molasses. Medium bitter, soft mouth feel, good carb. Nice porter.

Hazy yellow pour, with a large white head. Aroma is soft tropical notes, a little white wine, and some hints of ginger. Silky mouth feel, soft carb. Low bitterness, earthy, semi sweet ginger with stone fruit finish.

Dark copper pour, big off white head. First thing is the oak. Right off the bat the aroma is very woody, with some grassy hops, light tropical fruit, and some yeast. Solid mouth feel and carb. The finish is again quite woody, and whatever semblance of a saison is out the window. Im not sure the base beer was big enough to stand up to the barrel. And the fact that it was a chardonnay barrel made zero impact. I can understand the idea of why this would be a wonderful idea, but this is a barrel bomb.

Grainy aroma, light cereals, and lots of medicinal grassy notes, even some floral herbs. Some wet hay, even paper, touches of nuts. Cant pick out dandelion exactly, but im assuming its adding to the herbal note i’m getting.

Dark, hazy ruby pour, medium beige head. Nutty, wheat aroma, with light breads, and light fruit. Medium carb, soft mouth feel. Finish is semi sweet, a tad dry, malted wheat, and cereals. Nothing mind blowing, but drinkable.

light hops, some grapefruit, and orange. Light malts, some cereals. Watery mouth feel, semi bitter finish.
