Bottle. Cocoa, coffee and alcohol aroma. Dark brown colow with small head. Strong oatmeal, cappuccino and citrus hops flavor. Body a bit lighter than aroma would lead you to believe. A very nice brown ale.

Thanks to Ross for sharing bottle #295 with us at the Tennessee Spring(ish) Tasting! This opaque black beer forms a tan head. Complex nutty aroma, big malt, coffee cocoa, lots going on here. The flavor follows the aroma and develops and changes nicely as the beer warms. Sweet, smooth palate. Excellent as well as different!

Light grain aroma, maybe wheat. Cloudy pale golden pour with a light and good lacing. Watery and almost flavorless. Fantastic honey finish though. There’s no initial punch whatsoever, but it’s still very enjoyable and drinkable.

Pleasantly surprising beer! My record with regional brews hasn’t been good, but this one stands out. Roasted, smooth, lingering flavor. Bitter hop flavor is there, but cleverly masked by the flavor of burnt berries. The finish is outstanding and long lasting but subdued. I unfortunately did not get much of a head on this one, unlike other commenters. I guess I’ll have to buy it again. (No complaint here)

A hazy yellow beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet with light wheaty notes. The flavor is sweet with light notes of wheat, and with a dry wheaty end. Boring, but won’t offend anybody.

Bottle from Beer_Hawk; Nose of hops, but not real heavy; Color is medium brown with a vert small beige head; flavor has some light caramel and mild hop bitterness. Not as hoppy as several pale ales I’ve recently rated! Pretty color but not much hoppiness for an IPA!
