12 oz. bottle @ Hiroba, Omotesando, Tokyo. Red-brown color, clear. Off white head. Aroma’s: sweet malts, caramel, spices (cinnamon?), hints of fruit. Flavor is only lightly sweet. Body is light. Caramel and burned sugar in the finish. OK.

Deep amber color, light malty nose with hints of caramel. Light and non-descript, pretty much like all of their beers.

Orange with a white head. Fruity, light hoppy aroma. Boring flavor. Light fruits, a touch of bready malts, some crisp hops but lacking anything really tangible. Too sweet.

Orange with a foamy head. Fruity, sweet malts, soft orange, a bit candy like. The flavor was similar with soft hops, and caramel malts. This was the standout from Oratche but only because it was so odd.

Draught at the brewery. Buttery, spicy aroma with citrus. Flavors include orange and spice; strangely fruity and acidic, including lactic acid. There is also a strong lingering bitterness, though not quite a pleasant one. Drinkable but weird.

Bottle baught at the brewery. Malty, sweet, buttery aroma. Fruity flavor, decent malt and a good hoppy finish. Lacks a bit of bock smoothness and depth, but ok—strangely quite a bit better than on tap. Maybe it was the couple extra weeks of aging...

Slightly perfumy nose of apricots and oranges. Med-full mouth. Slight alcoholic finish, which is strange given the strength of this beer.

Light amber color. Soapy apricot nose. A bit strange mouthfeel. Hops are lacking and beer is directionless.

Thin with a bit of diacytles, malty backbone. Bitterness is just lacking. Non-offensive.

Big chocolately, malty nose. Mouth is a bit thin. Chocolately, straight forward. Light chocolately finish. Very nice.
