About
At Moon Dog we love crafting bloody delicious beers that are fun and a little bit different. We've been doing it since 2010 at our rad brewery in the backstreets of inner Melbourne’s Abbotsford. Over the years we’ve grown a heap, adding our tropical brewery bar paradise, the ballroom oasis function space, and a freakin' big fancy production brewery to keep more delicious beers flowing. We’re a proudly independent, Australian owned craft brewery, still run by the same guys that started it all those years ago.

Poured a clear golden yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was plenty of cognac barrel, woody. Dried fruits, some herbal character. Pineapple? Bottle at the DC area socially distant Fall 2020 tasting.

Can. Opaque dull orange with a creamy white head. Aroma of grass, peaches, flowers, crackers. 7+ So it tastes. It's pretty sweet and a little chalky with little bitterness at the end. Lots of peach. OK, a bit dull really.

Can. Very light yellow, no head. Slightly tart, with a real fruit salad of flavours. Subtle and very drinkable, but not overly memorable.

Pours dark amber with a large lasting head.Nose shows piny and resinous hops, some caramel, a bit of pineapple, some lychee and fruit confectionery.Flavours include more caramel, some bready malt, a fair whack of pine, some resinous hops, a bit of fruit, and a reasonable but well-balanced bitterness. Gets a bit grainy and a astringent.Carbonation seems excessive.

650ml bottle split. Pours hazy pale golden with a slim white head. Aroma: grape juice, white wine, apple, floral. Taste: Moderate sweet & light bitter, dry, (white) winey, wheat, light citrus. Medium to full body, with fine carbonation. An interesting beer/champagne hybrid nicely done

Bottle from (I think) ex-Bottle Shop, Bermondsey stock. Black pour with a beige head. Coffee, chocolate banana, cocoa, smoke, light bourbon aromas. Taste is banana toffee, caramel, raw coffee beans, smoke, caramel, dark chocolate. Long coffee linger. Smoky, roasty number, bourbon comes through in the close. Exceedingly tasty.

Can. Opaque browny-pink with a white head. Left wet laundry funk aroma with lots of plum. Slightly lacto slick with medium to low carbonation. Both sweet and tart with almost grainy plum and a bracken and mild spice finish. Refreshing. Good, but Macguava is still my favourite.
