Description
Behind Bendorf hides the name of a microbrewery. A microbrewery, or an urban craft beer factory, located in the Neudorf district, in the heart of Strasbourg! Founded at the beginning of 2013 by Benjamin Pastwa, the Bendorf brewery has continued to grow and this is how four people today ensure the proper functioning of the young company: Soizic, Félix, Matthieu and Benjamin . The goal of a brewery is of course to create, brew and then offer high quality beers with strong aromatic power for tasting. Our beers are generously hopped. At Bendorf, we love hops and we love working with it in all its forms.

Tap at La Mandragore. Hazy deep folden with big white head. Tons of rosemary, wheat, light yeasty, soft cloves, passion fruit, apricot. Medium sweet, light bitter and very light sour. Creamy medium body. Not bad.

Great and complex imperial stout to enjoy step by step, a wind of Scotland, strong smocked malt and whisky aromas at the beginning with a complex side of roasted malt, dark chocolate, plum and note of hop at the final, boozy and warm, 30.11.20, at Epalinges, buying it at Colmar.

A nice surprise with this Berliner, refreshing, the sourness is not at the extreme, malt, lactose, honey, some hop, 01.01.19, at Epalinges, finding it at Colmar.

Not a red ale at all, it seems to be more an American pale, generously bitter, citrus, malty and a bit sweet, 08.06.19, at Epalinges, buying it during one of my trip in Colmar.

Bottle shared. A bit hazy golden. Indeed a ron of Sabro with coconut, floral notes, lychee and mango. Bready malts, dought and some biscuits. Medium sweet and bitter. Solid medium bodied. Quite nice.

25/X/25 - 33cl bottle, bought and shared @ kelderschatten tasting by Gentse Biervereniging (Baracuna), BB: n/a, bottled: 15/IV/21 (2025-1070)
Slightly cloudy deep yellow blond beer, big creamy yellowish head, unstable, falls down quickly, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, mango, some oranges, sweet impression, a hint of vanilla. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet and sour start, tastes like some sort of candy, vanilla notes, lemony, mango, passion fruit, peach flavoured candy, nice! Aftertaste: sweet and sour, fruity, hint of vanilla, juicy, very pleasant, good one!

25 October 2025. At “Gentse Biervereniging Kelderschatten” (Baracuna). Cheers to the whole crew!
Lemon popsicle, sour candy, winegum, Napoléon candy. Sour candy & popsicle, candied lemon. Tart popsicle, sherbet. Indeed delivers on the 'ice cream' promise, bordering on artifical though, but somehow gets away with it.
