Thanks to my GF who picked this up for me and supported the Ride For Dad last year with this one. Alright, so cellared a bit too long, but first chance to drink this growler. Pours a clean amber colour with a slightly creamy head that puts a thick coat on the brew and keeps thick lacing around. Fruity malts with a little caramel. The taste is pretty mild overall, with some fruit and light grain. Not much of an APA, as lacking hop. More on the malt side reminding me more of a mild Amber ale.

Bottle bought by my GF at the brewpub a while back. Triple Chocolate Cherry Imperial Milk Stout version with a 8.7% ABV. Pours a real dark brown colour with no visible highlights. Big creamy beige head with great retention and some light foamy lacing. Aromas of darker malts giving notes of chocolate and coffee. A little fruity, but not really on the cherry side. A blend of cacao and yeast is what results with time. Smooth, slightly oily mouthfeel with well-hidden alcohol. Roasted malt flavours with the coffee, chocolate, yeast and some nice bitterness from the hop in the finish. The cherries are too mild in the mix, almost not present. They slightly come out at last pour, but not enough to boost it in the title. Still, better than expected and hope they retry this one at some point.

Third gingerbread brew in two weeks... I see a popular Christmas trend this year. Not sure if this one is clear or slightly hazy, as the glass is chilled from the cold beer served. Copper colour with a warm cap, decent retention and some dirty spots. Sweet malty nose with spices, brown sugars and caramel notes. Honey and mild dark fruits come out as it warms up. Nice gingerbread flavours with the cinnamon and ginger. Refreshingly wet with a little stick. A pretty good representation of gingerbread. Gets very good warmer. Also gets sweeter with time.

Ok. Palate on light side here for a stout. Brown was a stronger beer for its style than this. Pours blackish with decent head and lacing. Light roast malt. Some light nut and dark chocolate. Finishes bitter with some caramel malt. Tap at brewpub.
