The bottle looks not really good. The beer in the glass is okay. Smells terrible sourish. And it tastes the same. Sourish and fermented, finish much too malty. Not a good beer.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big, fluffy white foam, that leaves lacing legs. Moderately sweet malty, slightly sour-fruity aroma with notes of lemon and a mild herbal, slightly flowery hoppy touch. Bitter flavour, almost medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Well-balanced malty and herbal hoppy taste, that gets a bit papery towards the finish. All in all a good example of the category.

Draught@brewery tap, Forchheim
Golden color, small steady white head. Apple-like fruity hopping. Malty, alcoholic, grassy hopping. Not maybe really a pils maybe more like helles. Long bitterish - alcoholic aftertaste.

(Bottle, Priory Arms, Stockwell, London 26 Apr 2007) Golden yellow colour with a huge, firm, white head. Malty, clean nose with notes of grassy hops. Malty, clean taste with grassy hops, hints of tropical fruit and some soap in the grassy finish, moderate bitterness. Standard German helles, hardly exciting but well made and refreshing.

Bottle: Clear, golden coloured, mid-sized, slightly lacing white head; sweet-malty nose, with a very restrained fruity "house aroma", some hops on the backseat; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft MF, light malty base; sweet-hoppy finish. A pleasant, well rounded Pils..........
