Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Starts strong, roasty malty. Alcoholic, but not too intense. Woody-dry background. Finish wonderful balanced, still roasty-malty-alcoholic. Really nice!

Bottle shared in Watford - many thanks to Fergus. Pours clear, deep brown with a frothy tan head. Medium sweet flavour, some tar, charred malts, bitter dark chocolate, earth, raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more bittersweet cocoa, sturdy roast, scorched earth. Good toothy stout.

330ml bottle from St Albans Beer Shop, St Albans, Herts. A dark copper coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Malty, caramel, fruity, orange marmalade taste and aroma. Reminds me of Fullers 1845, very nice indeed.

06-12-20 // 330ml bottle from Hoptimism in 2018. cellar reorganization. This seems to turned a bit sour despite a BBD till 2027. Rich decadent body underneath a mild sourish vinegar note. Not too bad actually but don’t think this was intended. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tsar vs Czar on 07 Dec 2020 at 21:36 - Score: 7.
