Taster at Mockery - lightly hazy red - zero head - nose of lightly tart cherry and mild lacto (which they apparently used, along with an American ale yeast) - also a kind of Hawaiian Punch/fruit punch character - Whenever making such a strong fruit beer, I find that there is always a risk of having it turn out tasting like cough syrup, on account of the fruit and booze - this, thankfully, avoids this - the moderate tartness balances the sweetness and the alcohol presence s marginal - however, there is still a slight syrupy quality throughout - earthy cherry skin - I’d love to see a low alcohol version, as the sweetness and alcohol, though subdued for the strength, is still pretty present.

Pint at the brewery - lightly purplish red - I almost entered this as a saison, but did not feel right about it (even if the fruit character is mild) - nose has a mild savory note, mild blueberry, phenols of pepper, some fruit skin - flavor is similar - starts with a slight savory/brine character - the middle is medium sweet with mild blueberry character - finishes with some tartness and saison yeast phenols - refreshing, decent.

Pint at the brewery - nicely executed, this - creamy texture, with a nice roast and chocolate maltiness - slight minerality - really more like a porter in texture and flavor, but this is a minor complaint, as what is here is very good - pepper is understated, just bringing a slight heat to the finish - nice.

Pint at the brewery - much like the lemon pils (which I am.assuming is the same beer with different zest added), there ia a great pils hiding under here - at first, the grapefruit does not seem particularly potent, and I can enjoy the clean pils malt and grassy hop profile, but with each sip the bitterness of the grapefruit builds and starts to become quite strong and.overly bitter, making the beer much harder to enjoy - can we get a "straight up" version of this beer, guys?
