Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is peppery yeast, bretty funk, fruity notes, mild tropical, hay, melon, soft spicy/herbal notes, with a slight touch of vegetables. Flavour is moderate sweet, slightly tart and light bitter with a fairly dry finish. Body is almost medium. Very tasty funky Saison.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sour red and dark fruits with oak, malt, tart dark berries, red wine, funk, blackcurrant, touch of vinegar and some caramel. Flavour is tart and nicely sour with a hint of sweetness. Body is medium. I really like this, loads of interesting tart fruits with a fairly robust sourness.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber with a tiny, rough film of a head. Intense honey aroma with a slightly tart edge. Rich body if not exactly overly thick, prety much flat. Again intense honey notes, oxidized and caramellish. Warming finish. Comes out almost as a straight mead - nothing much beery about this. 060225

Bottle. (thanks Eddan) A bit hazy golden/yellow with a small white head. Citrus, white bread, mild brett, "ginger" and some yoghurt.

Аромат спертый слегка, немного фруктовый,кислый, ананас и персик. Цвет невероятно странный, дико мутный, серый с пышной пенкой. Вкус питкий, фруктовый по началу, слегка кислый в глотке. Ощущается ананас и его кислота. Послевкусие с легким соленым оттенком. Но как по мне чрезмерная фруктовость мешает данному стилю раскрыть свой потенциал, а я имею в виду соль и его оттенки в послевкусие.

(Bottle) Pale golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with notes of lemon, star fruit, coriander and a touch of mustard seeds. Fruity, tart taste with star fruit, lemon, coriander hay and a light saltiness. No bitterness. Light body, dry. Tasty, tart and refreshing. Nice one.
