Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Thick murky yellow colour, short-lived big foamy head and aroma of tropical fruity funk, rice, some soured notes. Taste is sweet, pineapple, fruity, gum, rice, milky, herby spice, funky sour, citric with some tartness and bitter notes. Full mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, drying fruity tart finish. Interesting, quite drinkable.

This smoothie beer had separated in the bottle but after a decant poured well into the glass, pouring thick yellow orange with a small foamy light yellow head. Aroma is orange, citrus, sweet pineapple, pineapple cubes, with some nice sweet sake notes. Medium sweetness, with very mild bitterness and tartness. Moderately thick, smooth, no carbonation. Linger sweet fruity sake finish, with slight bitter hint. Really enjoyed this.

330ml bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice light grain some grass hops. Taste is more of the nice light grain a little sweet malts and a touch of grass hops.

why is it clear golden . Sticky sweet, malty, dirty, but not that bad, but just not balanced.

Apple tea herbs, spice, cinnamon, as you’d expect from the name. Not sure it’s that good. Leaves a tingle on the lips. Interesting but probably will never try it again. Feels like a not very good idea.

On tap at Craft Beer Bar iBrew - Akihabara, pours an opaque milky yellow — looks like a mango lassi. Aroma smells like a mojito, with bright lime and mint. Flavour is very bright, with tons of fresh mint, yogurty lacto, and some lime. Finishes sweet and minty, with a very sludgy palate. For what it is, it's not terrible but it's still too gloopy on the palate.

I didn’t know this was a collaboration with Kazato Matsuoka and UBP Brewery… Kujukuri (sometimes go by Kankiku) Utility Lager 5% A darker color than I expected, more a reddish gold than yellow that was topped by a light beige head of foam. Malty sweet caramel aroma with perhaps a tiny wisp of butterscotch. Medium bodied and very dry. The taste has a few grape hop notes, then dry caramel/brown sugar biscuits. Ok.
