Draft at Buvette Scott. Beautiful red color, pink head. Nice fresh raspberry aroma with an edge of peppery funk. Taste is softly sour mixed berries, raspberry up front. Very fruity, light body. Tasty.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head. Aroma of funky ester with some oak notes and spiced/herb notes. Taste is also a great mix between some funky ester, light rustic malt notes with oak notes and herbal notes from the gin barrels. Body is about average with good carbonation. Great farmhouse beer with the gin barrel notes really adding complexity.

(500ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebecy City) Pours a fairly hazy deep orange with a thick eggshell head and heavy lace. Aroma is intensely saturated with hop oils, notes of mandarin peel, candied orange, dried mango, sweetened berries, cannabis, leafy pine, resin, some bready malt. Flavour is off-dry, sticky notes of navel orange, grapefruit, mandarin peel, some floral tropical fruit, peach, bready malt with some cereals, drying substantially into the finish with sticky grapefruit resins and a little fresh pine Mosaic vibe, moderate bitterness. A bit of an OG west coast vibe to this IPA which isn't so much my style but this example is really well-crafted with good hop intensity for the ABV.

(750ml bottle from Buvette Scott, Quebec City) Pours fairly clear medium gold with a decent white head and no lace. Aroma of perfumed spring wildflowers, rustic grains, lightly tart pale stone fruit, saison yeast of a balanced (not overly estery/phenolic) variety, softly funky, reasonably prominent oak, some bitterness. Flavour is dry and lightly tart, very mineral and spritzy, notes of golden plum and light lemon peel, soft lactic acid, crushed wildflowers (especially middle to finish), rustic cereal grains, 'classic' Auval flora with some saison qualities and light 'cellar/attic' Brett, very mineral and soda-like water profile, finish is a bit short because of the minerality and quite some drying wood, though there are some plum skins and dusty grains in there. Light bodied, spritzy but fairly smooth bottle conditioned carbonation. A classic Auval farmhouse with a bit of plum character rather than a heavy fruit beer, quite enjoyable as such. I thought the minerality was higher than typical for them, which curtailed the finish to its detriment.

Taste is a mix of bready yeast notes with some rustic cereal notes and light funky ester. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Easy drinking with a good level of complexity.

Bottle: Poured a hazy light pink color mead with light carbonation. Aroma of funky ester with some vinous notes. Taste is a mix of tart notes with some funky ster with light residual sugar notes from the honey. Body is about average. Interesting mix of flavors with the grapes and mead meeting somewhere in the middle.

750ml (thx, Christophe L.!) @ Sales Force. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: nice farmhouse notes, barrel, fruity, some funk. Taste: along the same lines, quite dry, some bitterness in the finish. Overall: pretty good.
