A hazed reddish ale with a thin white head. In aroma, beautiful sweet fruity raspberry jam with light acidity, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice. Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some good amount of lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt notes with some coffee notes and some barrel-aging notes are also noticeable. Taste is an enjoyable mix of roasted malt with some black chocolate notes, light coffee notes with some subtle notes of Cognac that are also perceptible. Body is full with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Enjoyable but not sure Cognac notes are bringing much more to the mix.
