On tap at The Magnet, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Nose has some allium, some herbaceous hops, light vegetal hops, and a weird yeasty character. Flavour is much the same, with some herbaceous hops, a weird yeasty character, and allium. Not a fan of the hop or yeast expression. Not great, as is usually the case with these New Slang beers.

Grapefruit and some florals. Pours orange without pretty good head. Lots of malt in this one. Some tangerine marmalade. Bitter peel end. Can.

Quite pale, bright, mellow spicy continental hop, low bitterness, fairly clean but this doesn’t seem like a yeast you want to let run free anyway. Even in Nürnberg there would be more bitterness, let alone Bamberg kreis, so this left some upside on the table.

On tap at Barley Merchant, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly muted, with crisp biscuity malt and a tiny touch of tangy hops. Flavour is crisp, with light citrusy hops, gentle floral notes, and crisp biscuity malt. I don’t detect the Nelson… just seems like a generic, bittering hop expression (from the Cascade). Structurally fine beer but not very interesting. Okay.

473mL can, pours an opaque peachy golden yellow with a small white head. Nose has some apricot pithiness, a bit of chalk, and some citrusy hops. Flavour is citrusy, with plenty of lemon that mostly drowns out the apricot, light hoppy bitterness, and a touch of earthy pithiness. A bit muddled but not too bad. Meh.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Nose is dank and tangy. Flavour has some tangy NZ hops, resins, and some dankness. A bit dirty, but enjoying the hop expression the more I drink. I'm a fan.
