We’re passionate about producing high-quality beers which are not only flavourful and aesthetically pleasing but also suitable for anyone who is interested in trying good quality craft beer. We've spent years refining and progressing our recipes to keep up with people’s ever-changing taste.
We were founded in 2011 by Peter Hills and Jon Swain in a couple of railway arches in Haggerston, Hackney.
Over the years we’ve invested in state-of-the-art lab equipment, new machinery and we strive to continuously improve our processes and work to get the best out of our ingredients.
Now with a focus on Keg and Can formats with modern and US hop forward styles, we provide a complete core range of crafted styles from Session-able table beers, hop forward pales and IPA’s, hazy juice bombs, a multi award winning peach and basil sour and crystal clear craft lager.
In 2021 we opened our new site on the Blackhorse Beer Mile, High Hill Taproom, home to Hackney Brewery.

Kwg at Waterloo Tap. My last beer from this recently closed brewery? Hazy opaque - a pineapple yellow. Thin translucent white head primarily sticks to the rim. Aroma has low-key tropical fruit. Medium bitter, resinous. Citrus edge. Underlying sweet tropical fruit. Hints of onion. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long finish. Certainly dry. Somewhat astringent. Fine.

Draft @ Aldgate Tap, after a nice Eurostar delay, just before bar's last call.
Dorée, léger pâle, col blanc.
Arôme est frais avec un côté résine du Mosaic assez dominante. Petite note de baies en rétro-nasal avec un délicat apport de fruit de la passion.
Palais est plaisant, malté, pâle, carapils. Bien houblonnée avec une belle dose de tropical mais aussi de résine. Petite note de baies noires, agrumes, finement sur l'ananas. Effervescence sympa avec un caractère de bouche très frais - il me semble que la bière sit sortie une semaine avant. Super legère, dommage que l'ambiance du pub n'était pas au niveau.

Fruity with notes of pineapple and grapefruit, light citrus rind bitterness, malty backing, medium body, hoppy light bitter close.

Tap at Hopa. Clear golden pour, white head. Nose is intense, sweet peaches with a spicy touch. Taste is medium sourness and a definite spicy touch, the basil does make an appearance here. Long sourish sweetish finish, light body. Real refreshing.

Can. Pours deep, clear golden. Nose is sweet fruits, taste is sweet fruits again upfront, then some faint bitterness also appears and lasts quite long with some sweet booze. Light body with average carbo, easy to drink. It's pretty similar to a neipa just not as smooth and juicy.

Аромат цветочный, ягодный и фруктовый. Ощущается слегка сладкие цветы, нотки ягод, даже намек на парфюм. А вообще сильный аромат персика и абрикоса. Цвет отличный, полу мутный, пенка мелкопузырчатая, кремовая и долго держится. При пробе почти все сладкие нотки от фруктов и цветов ушли, осталось только цедра, кислые персики кочнено. При глотке все есть что то от цветов, также есть солод и сильная кислинка. Послевкусие продолжительное, персиковое и абрикосовое, немного манго может быть. В целом хороший, но не вызывающий кислый эль.

Half pint from the keg at Exmouth Arms, Finsbury. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aromas & tastes of gooseberries. Tart at the front & sour in the finish. Enjoyable

Can from EeBria. Was a gusher but what I managed to get in the glass turned out to be a hazy gold with small white head. Aroma of herbs and vegetation with some fruity peach and citrus. Taste of juicy tangy orange pith and peach, herbal and bitter finish. Medium bodied, zingy carbonation. Decent.
