(bottle) slightly hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly dusty, toast-malty and mildly nutty aroma with notes of caramel and shy hoppy spice. Mild sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Toasty malty base with caramel and slightly nutty notes and shy traces of chocolate in the background, which are also detectable in the bitter-sweet and moderately toast-malty finish. bottle from Getränkeeck Petersaurach or Edeka Neuendettelsau. Cloudy pale golden yellow, large white head. Whetay and malty, hardly any banana flavour. A classic example of the style which is not overly banana-ey.

bottle from Edeka Neuendettelsau. Clear light-brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Malty base, slightly grainy, with caramel and lovely resiny hops - bitter sweet character. Good!

bottle from Getränkeeck Petersaurach. Clear golden yellow, mid-sized white head. Malty, quite hoppy for a Helles with a nice hop character. Very tasty for a Helles.

bottle from Getränkeeck Petersaurach. Clearpale yellow, large white head. Resiny hop aroma. Light-to medium-bodied, malty background with lots of aromatic and bitter hops. Typical Franconian hop profile. Smooth palate. A well crafted beer.

Getreidig-hopfiger Antrunk, mild, sehr leicht würzig. Herb-süßlicher Mittelteil, weiter getreidig, wenig frisch. Der süffige Getreideton ist auch im Abgang führend, die untertönige herbe Note wird deutlich stärker und tritt in den Vordergrund. Die Würzigkeit ist etwas muffig, dennoch ein angenehmes, aber etwas langweiliges Bier. Test vom 26.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,8,9,8,8,8 - 7,85

Bottle: Golden coloured, slightly hazy, with a medium-sized, stable and lacing white head; sweetish-grainy nose, a bit worty; light to medium-bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour; sweet-grainy, almost a bit hoppy finish. O.K.....

Bottle: Golden coloured, big beaten egg-white-like head; malty-hoppy nose with a metallic tinge; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, a bit tart, light bodied, almost sticky; bitter-sweet finish. Good, but not very impressive..........

Bottle: Golden coloured, mid-sized, quite stable white head; honey and sweet barley in the nose, supported by a delicate herbal hoppy aroma; mainly sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; sweet-malty finish with a faint bitter-hoppy aftertaste. A very decent, well rounded Doppelbock.....

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet, grainy, cereal-like aroma with marzipan and a honey-fruity touch, backed by a delicate herbal, slightly floral hoppy note. Sweet flavour, pale malt character with cereals and honey; mdium to full bodied; sweet malty finish with a herbal hoppy, moderately bitter edge.
