Malty fruity beginning. Easy to drink, hints of caramel, moderate bitter with a nice roasted brown sugary dry bitter finish. Nice burned sugars, round and nice.

Helle, sehr trübe Farbe. Schaumentwicklung nicht übermächtig. Tolle, volle Getreidenote - da ist so ziemlich alles drin was helles Weizen- und Gerstenmalz zu leisten vermag. Ergänzt wird das von sämigen, gekochten Früchten, Hefe, etwas Honig und ganz milden Kräuternoten. Weich und voll, aber nicht schwer und dadurch sehr süffig. Tolles Weißbier, doch irgendwie ganz typisch und trotzdem weit weg vom Mainstream. Gambrinus war ein mystischer Sagenkönig, der als Erfinder des Bierbrauens im alten Germanien angesehen wird. Er soll mit der altägyptischen Göttin Isis verheiratet gewesen sein, die ihm die Kunst des Bierbrauens beigebracht hat. Was für ein wunderschönes Beispiel für interkulturellen Austausch. Könige und Götter teilen ihr Wissen zum Wohl der gesamten Welt. Es gibt aber (aus sehr gutem Grund) keine Könige und Götter mehr und das was die Kulturen heute miteinander noch teilen ist nicht unbedingt zum Wohle der Welt bestimmt. Sehr, sehr schade.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Yellowish golden, small white head. Aroma is herbal, grassy and some grainy tones. Flavour is grainy, herbal, some salty and mild sweet malty tones. Enormously smooth and nice. Kind of primitive in a way, but wow what one can do with these elements in a beer.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice small head. Starts intense malty, spicy, alcoholic. Mild sweetish background. Herbal notes as well, grasy, some spices. Finish well balanced, spicy malty alcoholic. Nice!
