Cloudy golden beer with a strong, fruity aroma. The flavour and aftertaste is hoppy with the fruit more understated. Very crisp and refreshing and the flavour is very nicely balanced between the initial fruity hit and the last hoppiness.

Smell is very tiny sweet, tiny salty, fruity and herbal with crackers, green grapes, freshly cut moist grass, nettles, lemon balm, gooseberries, sweat, elderberries, green wine gums, unripe strawberries and hints of band aids. Taste is herbal, fruity and floral with crackers, freshly cut moist grass, dry soil, gooseberries, frozen strawberries, dill, elderberries, green grapes, white pepper, lemon balm, nettles, lemon balm, lemony soap, cloves, allspice and unripe currants. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, slightly herbal/spicy astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny bitter, herbal and tiny fruity with crackers, moist grass, gooseberries, green grapes, white pepper, dry soil, dill, lemon balm and hints of lime juice. Pure freshly squeezed Nelson juice on a cracker-like saison foundation. Love it!

This is a glorious beer. Soft yet flavorful. The wine barrel really took the edge off the saison yeast. Very smooth but with the flavor profile of a good, sweet saison. Malty and earthy with a bit of grape. Crisp yet rounded finish. Such a nice beer.
