Had at the Loon, August 21st 2017 after the G'n'R show and partial solar eclipse (big day :P). Poured a hazy light yellow colour with a white head and great dirty lacing. Smells like buttermilk with the milky notes and some sourness. Hints of citrus. Yeasty taste with some very mild sour feel and cereal grains in the background. Not sure about this almond thing and a weird brew all-around.

Tap at The Big Apple. Barley days oyster stout 4% Deep brown tan head and a rich chocolate aroma. Soft body and tasty featuring chocolate plus a mild roast edge. Very smooth, my favorite I tasted.

Tap at The Big Apple. Ursa Major black ipa 5.3% Cola brown pour with a beige head and hoppy pine aroma. It’s got a nice hoppy flavor that’s well balanced with the chocolate malts.

Tap at The Big Apple. Crystal clear gold, thick creamy head with a mild almond aroma. Tangy flavor, honey and grains plus some almond in the finish. An interesting take on the style which maintains distinct elements of both the almond and kolsch components. 3.4

Bottle from the LCBO with a cork and cage. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a warm cap that stays nicely, leaving a coat on the brew. Fresh red apple scent with caramel malt notes. The apples are mild in the taste over the grainy malts, finishing with a light sourness. Not the best apple ale I have tried, but seems legit overall.

Cask at the Loon. Pours a cola-looking colour with a bubbly beige head, very good retention for cask, and some foamy lace. Very yeasty aromas smelling like wet socks. Hints of grass and sweet malts. The taste is more like an IPA over roasted malts. Mild dry hops lingers and the taste is a little better. Some sourness in the finish. Gets better with time, but nothing too exciting. Is this a bad batch ?

Enjoyed at the Loon last year, February 2015. Pours a caramel-copper colour with a small beige cap and decent lacing. Sweet watery brown sugars flavours with some grass, cherry notes, chocolate and apples. Malty sweet nose with red apples and mild grass. A good brown ale with fruity notes and a decent amount of hops.

Sampled at the Loon. Pours a dark brown colour with copper highlights, a beige head and decent lacing. Roasted malt aromas with mild coffee and chocolate notes. Light sourness at first, roasted malt lingers in the aftertaste. Hints of hops and even vanilla. Not bad, but not sure if a little infected with the light sourness. This kind of puts this brew down.
