Description
In 1995 Harry van de Wiel decided to establish the Stadsbrouwerij Rotterdam. The brewery is decorated in the style of the old town hall of Delfshaven, the wood-copper kettles in which brewing takes place are a good example of this. In the meantime Harry's son has taken over the stirring stick and continues his father's passion.

75cl bottle @ home, shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear copper to amber color, small white head. Smell malts, some sweetness, some yeast, some butter. Tastes about the same. Nothing special, nothing really wrong either. Little bit dry finish, average carbo and body.

Consumed on 10/18 on my Amsterdam trip at In De Wildeman. Poured into an 8oz smaller shaker glass. This beer was one of the beer highlights on my trip. Thick ass head on a dark copper/brown body. Nose is in-your-face smoke. LOVE IT! Flavor is all smoke and light otherwise. Extremely drinkable. This beer may be the best smoked outside of the Schlenkerla line.

Draught @ Cafe Becoloth, Boxtel. Dark brown color, with a nice deep dark red glow coming through. Very nice creamy, vast beige head that lasts for quite a while. Smell roasty, lightly fruits, hints of alcohol, hints of sweet and bitter. Taste some fruityness, roasty and fresh. Lightly sticky texture. Medium carbo, medium body. Nice beer, like it a lot!
