Can. This version, packed 10 July 24, is 6% ABV. Somewhat cloudy gold with a cm of white head. Aroma of gooseberries, pineapple, pine, light bread. Dryish but a bit of bready richness before lots of tropical fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Good stuff.

From a 355ml can on 22/6/2024. Pours a clear deep golden with a small head that disappears quickly. Has a light citrus fruit nose with a hint of pine. Tastes of orange, citrus and lemon, with some dark and dried fruit. Decently bitter with some pine and resin, finishing quite dry. Slightly syrupy palate with average carbonation. Cluster 12 is my fave Bentspoke ever and Cluster 8 is my fave canned beer of theirs. This is quite disappointing in comparison. Just okay and won't be revisiting.

From a 355ml can on 19/6/2024 (ABV listed as 6%, labelled American Brown Ale, 10 Years of BentSpoke). Pours a clear super deep brown with a biggish light tan head. Smells malty, nutty and roasty. Tastes of caramel, nuts, dark fruit and a touch of coffee. Finishes decently bitter with roasted/burnt notes. Full bodied with average carbonation. Bold and full of character. Very nice stuff.

Can. Amber. A white head doesn't last. Brooding aroma of pine, mixed citrus, breadcrust, some dried peach. Big breadcrust and dried fruit malty presence but neither very sweet nor heavy. A surprising bubblegum note. Citrus gives way to peppery pine at the fairly bitter end. Who knows what an XPA is, let alone an XXXPA, but this is a complex and drinkable strong ale.

Now canned at 6% (for 10 years of BentSpoke). Dark brown with an inch of beige head. Surprising (until I read the description here - can just says America Brown Ale) red berry and orange aroma with brown sugar and bread. So it tastes, with citrus over subdued dark fruity doughy malt before some pepper joins in at the fairly bitter end.

(Tap) Clear ruddy brown with small off-white head. Aroma of candy sugar, pear drops, cardamom, hints of orange peel and booze. Full bodied, slightly sticky with surprisingly lively bright carbonation. Taste is sweet and boozy, with some nice balancing tart fruity and spicy notes. Thereβs a rich dark toffee, candy and raisins sweetness. Thereβs some fruity tartness - hints of apples and berries. There are some interesting esters that add complexity and lightness, and the booze is present but intrusive. Very enjoyable.

(Cask) Clear amber brown with big off-white head. Subtle pleasant aroma of toffee, tea, and citrus. Lovely smooth medium body. Good taste with toffee malt. Notes of orange at the start and tea at the end. Very quaffable.
