(Can) Pours clear golden with no head. Modest ginger aroma with earthy hints. Light body with good carbonation both bright and soft. Taste is pretty good, if too sweet for me, although the sweetness has some pleasant maltiness to it. There’s some decent ginger with a good bite at the finish, that steadily builds. Good ginger beer, if rather sweet.

Can. Unclear orange, no head. Tropical fruit cup aroma with hints of bread and spices. Not clear from the can whether this has actual fruit in it, but at this stage I'm guessing it does - mango and perhaps oranges. But I'm less sure on a sip. Light bodied with orange, mango, coconut, pineapple. Slightly burning astringency and moderate bitterness at the end. Drinks like a mild bout of heartburn.

A session IPA with a proper IPA ABV. I kept drinking this one chasing something more, but it just wasn't there. It has a pleasant nose of pine, honey, a little tropical fruit and a touch of biscuit. The taste is mostly mild bitter hops, leaving me wondering where all those lovely aromas went. It has a pretty short finish too.

(Can) Great looking beer - pours completely black with good golden brown head. Pleasant, rather subtle aroma that is hard to place. There’s some herbal notes, some wood, some dark caramel hints. Great mouthfeel - full bodied with nice bright carbonation. Reasonable taste - there’s a several bitter flavours working together - dark toffee, burnt sugar, coffee, with barest hints of sweetness. There are some unusual sour notes too. Alcohol not obvious. The burnt bitter notes continue into a long finish. It’s good, but did not quite live up to expectations of this brewery and compared to the Descent 20.

Can. Slightly cloudy gold with a white head that fades gradually to a scant coat. Soft, sherbety aroma with passionfruit, Meyer lemon, glace pineapple, minor more stinky tropical notes. Upon a taste there's some peach too. Moderately sweet with a big fruit punch that's gradually reined in by moderate bitterness and a little pineapple astringency. Sunny; a little bit haughty.

Can. A lovely clear rosy brown but the off white head is sadly soon less than a coat. Aroma of singed sugary dough, spiced oranges. Some berries and pear along with those in the taste. It's just medium bodied. There's a little sweetness with the malty and fruity flavours but it leans quite dry as well as spicily bitter at the end - fine balance. Seems deeper the more of it I drink. I'd get this again but am concerned old Chuck might decide it's too challenging and swap out some ingredients for garbage without telling anybody.

Can. Slightly cloudy gold with a white head that's soon a dissipating loose raft. Aroma is cheery and a little crude (not a complaint) with citrus, weeds and grainy bread. Lightish bodied, fizzy. Light bread and a little honey with a melange of citrus (and hints of tropical fruit) at a moderately bitter and rather brief finish. Not sure why I haven't had this before. It's a good glugging beer I'll have again.

On tap. Really surprised I haven't rated this before. Easy drinking, well-balanced. The hops are there but not superforward. Maltiness gives it legs in a session-drinking scenario.
