Golden hazy beer with very little aroma. There is none of the spices or bananas expected in a Weizen. Rather acidic mouthfeel and not much body.

Pours deep orange-red with abundant yeast sediment and a creamy, thick light tan head. Lots of spices in the aroma, with orange, cinnamon and coriander being notable. Flavor is surprisingly tangy and fruity with plenty of spice followed by a lingering bitterness. I agree with Frank that this is in the vein of a Belgian Strong. I'm not the biggest fan of spices in beer but I really like the Belgianesque fruity, tangy body of this beer.

Pours a very hazy, almost pear green/yellow color, mostly pale, with a good white foamy head. Smells of lemons, light yeast and a touch of coriander. Flavor has a deep undertone of lemon peel, with a big chewy, almost peppery coriander flavor. Supremely crisp with a tinge of bitterness on the finish. Medium body, almost tastes like there is some citrus pulp in it. Very delicate, very good. Finish could be a bit more lingering however.

Wonderful foamy pour. Big murky deep red-burgundy with some lighter tones in there. Bottle conditioned (or at least unfiltered). Big light brown colored head. Aroma of lots of spices, i detect mainly the orange peel and nutmeg, which is a bit odd. Flavor is heavily spicy, TONS of coriander, lots of acidic orange flavor, sharp carbonation kick and quite sweet. Some chewy sweetness, and some syrupy sugar flavor makes a futile attempt to balance the orange peel on the finish. Lots of things goin on here, to say the least. Overall, it was pretty good, just a way too sharp and acidic and my throat is still recovering from all that bitter orange and spicy coriander.

Hazy dark amber colour. Very aromatic - big malts, orange, coriander, ginger (in retrospect, oops!). Overcarbonated. Very sweet - spicy, fruity with lots of orange ans slight sugary notes. This is a fun beer, very savoury, but the carbonation is a major problem. Overcarbonation is like a staticy radio station - you know the song is good but the reception is lousy and that definitely takes away from the experience.

Hazy amber colour with a soapy tan head. Aroma of nutmeg, vegetables, caramel and some crisp maltiness. Medium-bodied; Odd sweet/spicey flavour combination with caramel and some fruity sweetness mixing with nutmeg and cinnamon spiceyness. Aftertaste shows more of the sweet character than anything else-a bit overpowering. Overall, a good beer-lacking in a few places, but a nice drink! I bought this 330 mL bottle from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, D.C. and sampled it on 29-December-2003.

Pitch black (90% opaque) with a thin tan head. Aroma of cherries, grapes-a bit of chocolate and roasted malt. Medium-bodied; Light watery flavour with some fruit and coffee. Aftertaste clean for the style, fairly nice! I had this bottle at the Winter Party at Oakes' place in Toronto, Canada on 05-December-2003.

Golden coloured with orange tints. A lemoney, citrus aroma with plentiful wheat. Medium-bodied; Sweet-tart orange flavour with strong coriander seed freshness. Aftertaste clean and crisp-fairly decent! I had this bottle at the Winter Party at Oakes' place in Toronto, Canada on 05-December-2003.

Great cloudy orange appearance. The head was very big but also very thin and was gone quickly. Aromas of malt and sour citrus. Also some herbal character. Sweet, with a lingering sweet aftertaste. Crisp on the palate.
