Description

Bottle at LKS. It pours deep red - brown with is small beige head. The aroma is earthy, woody, coffee grounds, earth and damp cardboard. The taste is dry, earthy, toasty grain, burnt treacle, woody, brown bread and dirt with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I wouldn’t clock this as a black IPA. Not great.

Sample at NHBF’17. Just a near-OK yeasty Dunkelweizen. If they’d spend as much time on their recipes as on their commercial descriptions they’d be fine. But they don’t, so they’re not.
