375ml (thx, Max C. for the delivery!) @ Ryan's. Appearance: very dark brown with no head. Aroma: a mix of charred oak, vanilla, and some chocolate. Light booze. Taste: THICK, an absurd amount of vanilla, chocolate, and bourbon, noticed roasty character from charred oak. Overall: too much vanilla in here, otherwise - good in small amounts.

375mL bottle, pours motor oil black with no head. Aroma brings out intense earthy vanilla, deep earthy husky cocoa beans, and charred oak. Flavour is extremely rich, with intense vanilla beans, husky cocoa beans, charred oak bourbon, and some earthy. A bit messy, with harsh barrels and vanillins that kind of lack coordination. A bit disappointing in integration.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours fairly hazy deep gold with a small white head. Aroma is heavy on mandarin and orange peels, really a whole Five Alive blend in zest form with lime, grapefruit etc in there too, some melon, sweet melon, a little pineapple. Flavour is again citrus heavy, lots of bitter orange and grapefruit, some lime and Meyer lemon, melon, underripe peach, mid-sweet at best, some softly bready malt, finish is very crisp and mineral for style, heavy on orange oil and pink grapefruit, some floral lime, very zesty, moderately bitter, a little peppery, some melon into the aftertaste. Light to medium body, above average carbonation. Very citrusy but solid. Definitely lacking in mouthfeel when compared to the typical Messo DIPA though.

De belles notes céréalières rappelant la croute de pain ainsi qu’une présence herbacée et épicée en toile de fond composent un olfactif agréable et standard. De couleur dorée lumineuse et limpide. Mousse moyennement petite à durée conséquente. Notes céréalières de pain à l’entrée de bouche, se transformant rapidement en amertume herbacée et céréalière avec houblons épicés en appui. La présence maltée céréalière en finale rajoute à la complexité de cette dernière. Bien équilibrée, rafraichissante et intéressante par sa présence maltée en arrière-bouche. Une bonne lager de soif. A dark purple burgundy saison with a thin lacing pinkish head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of dark fruits, raspberries, light horseblanket, Epsom salts, very nice. In mouth, a nice mix of tart raspberry jam, light acidity, Epsom salts, very nice. On tap at brewery.

A hazed yellow DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light, tropical fruit, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice and smooth. On tap at brewery.
