Opalescent orange to bright amber colour, moderate sized dense ecru-ish white head; aroma of pine resiny, grapefruity, mango, some apple peel and biscuity notes; hop-dominant taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; good IPA

As Septem Thursday’s Premium Red Ale. Aroma of biscuity malt, caramel, fruity notes, hoppy notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Nothing stellar, but the hoppy aspect elevates this above the average for the style.

Aroma of malt, caramel, fruits, orange, grapefruit, hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a medium bitter finish. Nice full body. I generally prefer my DIPA with a little more bitterness and a little less sweetness, but as it stands this is a delicious brew from a promising brewery.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, soft hops, hint of pine, and some toffee. Flavour is moderate sweet with a medium bitterness. Body is medium with a light creaminess. Modestly hopped, hops are bittering rather than aromatic with just a hint of pine, not bad but not exciting either.
