Dark brown smooth light brown head. Very very nice roasted malty aroma, notes of caramel, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is hard roasted malts, dark chocolate, bitterness from hops. Lowish alc pct shows in palate and the watery feeling but still this is one of the best porters i have tasted.

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Clear deep amber colour lasting cream coloured head, looks a little over carbonated so I might do a bit of swirling to get rid of that. Spicy hops come through on the aroma. hmmmm maybe not overly fresh, yet the pilsner I had was fresh. It’s bitter and not flavourful hoppy. Not sure this goes anywhere. It’s fine, nothing wrong with it, just it’s a bit meh, some bitterness, some malty sweetness but a little underwhelming.

33cl bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Clear gold crystal cear with thin white head. Some decent hop on aroma. No bad lager falvours, but until the finish, it’s a bit plain. The finish is hoppy. For this style of beer yes it’s hoppy. Yep to start with I thought it was a touch plain, but the finish bitterness is good.

33cl bottle BBD 5 Oct 2013: poured into a tumbler on my holiday Studio terrace on the Greek island of Mykonos on 18 May 2013. Clear amber/red body with a staying beige head. Hops ruled the aroma and taste, with the malts coming a close second: this is hoppiest Greek beer I’ve had anyway. The malts seemed to be a semi-sweet undertone below the hop front and I really enjoyed it, the best beer of the holiday.
