Description
In 1758 the first master brewer, Peter Still from Fischbach, was able to start work on the Hammersee. In 1804 the Electorate of Bavaria decided to privatize the brewery. In 1884 Johann Baptist Jacob, great-grandfather of the current generation of owners, Marcus and Friedrich Jacob, acquired the company. The next two generations Jacob (each with first name Friedrich) took over his pioneering spirit and the iron will to keep the company up to date for the benefit of quality and employees. The continuation of the family tradition is assured even today. For the future, the next generation of Jacob is ready to successfully carry the centuries-old values into the fifth generation.

A light yellow, murky beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has wheat, spicyness of clove, only light fruitness. Taste has wheat, spicyness, light fruitness, pretty dry. Medium bodied. Nice freshness, not so fruitful, nice refrehnerer.

Tap. Clear pale golden color with white head. Aroma is mild grassiness, a touch sulphur, cereals. Taste is the same, a bit grassy, sulphur, cereals again. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Nothing special, just decent quality.

Deep gold with a thin, frothy head. Not much of an aroma: faint grains and perfume. Taste is mildly buttery sweet with the malts in charge. Very mild, grainy bitterness at the end. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Simple and rather dull, but drinkable.

0,5 l bottle from Getränke Rücker, Lengerich. Murky orange brown in the glass, nearly two finger white intensive foamy head. Intensive fruity smell, orange, banana, chewing gum, clove. Taste is also fruity, starting with orange, getting more dry pale grain, wheat and yeast. Some fruity sweetness. Nice and easy drinking stuff.

Bottle from Hereford Beer House and drunk at home. Very dark brown cloudy beer lasting tan head. Banana aroma. Some clove. Medicinal aroma. Settles down a bit more in the mouth. Some chocolate banana. very herby. Some bitterness on the finish. Bit herby for me. It's interesting no doubt. Bit too big and harsh for me.
