Very cloudy beige blond beer, aery irregular off-white head, unstable, crackling down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, zesty, citrus, oranges and orange peel, some tropical fruits, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, lots of citrus, good bitterness, zesty, tropical fruits, a bit sweet, fruity, juicy, very nice! Aftertaste: more citrus, grapefruit, juicy, a little floral, zesty, quite some grapefruit, nice bitterness, somewhat sweet, nice stuff, very impressive, was not expecting this!

A small bottle from the tasting room in Liege, drunk at Dad’s place while home on holiday. Aroma: fresh and grassy, very inviting. Appearance: semi-opaque amber, big fluffy head dissipates to one finger off-white foam. Palate: full-bodied and slick, lively carbonation; finish is slightly tart. Taste: pretty heavily sweet, almonds, vanilla, a hit of sherbet. Quite tasty but a bit too sweet for me.

NL/BEL excursion day 6: at their tasting room in Liege, a small one, keg. Aroma: very strong and inviting smell of coffee. Appearance: opaque cola, gargantuan head of beautiful tan bubbles. Palate: full-bodied and oily on the tongue, average carbonation; finish is long and very well roasted. Taste: lightly sweet, bags of coffee, close to espresso, which does not overwhelm the flavour; alcohol is subtle. Well-balanced and very satisfying.
