Cask handpull at The County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Gold with a slight haze and lasting white head. Puke on the aroma. Not very good to be honest. Ugh. The puke makes me not want to drink it. Some hop on end. But if you bring a beer to your mouth and your nose is saying "this smells of puke" it’s pretty difficult to drink it.

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby, JDW, Canterbury. 5% ABV. Black with ruby edges. Disappearing dark beige head. I’m not a big fan of coconut, but I thought that this was pretty good. Nice thick malts, some choc coconut on aorma, like a dark chocolate Bounty bar. Good mouthfeel. I like the swallow and finish very much. Really good, some burnt malt bitterness on finish. Love the third of a pint. It’s good, really deep and satisfying with a bit of spice and sweetness from the coconut. 3.7/5.0 Had another half. I mean I like it, but maybe not as much as before, but I’m still thinking that if I get bored later this evening, I know I can go up the road and have a pint of this later. Just a bit thinner than I thought initially. Good flavours though

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby, JDW, Canterbury. Gold, disappearing head. Grassy hops are what hit you first. Some caramel, then more grassy hop. OK, some lasting hop on finish which reminds me of cut hay. Mouthfeel needs more.

Cask at the Moon and Spoon (JDW), Slough. Gold with a thin white head; straightforward malty aroma; lots of chewy sweet malt flavours with a touch of toast and honey; leading to a lightly hopped finish. Very pleasant.(4/8/2010 - 5/3/6/3/12=2.9)

Cask at the Queen Hotel (JDW), Aldershot. Pale amber with a tight cream head; sweet heather honey aroma; biscuity body with a light floral/herbal taste; and a dry finish. Rather elegant, but not as vibrant as I remember from previous festivals.(10/26/2015 - 6/4/7/3/13=3.3)

29th October 2008. Clear amber beer. Flat! Sweet apples with a hint of toffee. Takes some getting used to! FW are better than this!

29th October 2008. Dry palate. A little fruit and sour malt. More of the same in the dry finish. This was better than the GBBF version - just!

Cask at Rayners Lane, W’Spoons. Nice golden coloured pour with a fluffy white head. Fresh American hoppy nose. Pleasantly hoppy, citrus fruit, slightly dry taste. Surprisingly complex. Incredibly drinkable. A good effort from Tomme Arthur.
