Bottle at Hops, Crewe. Pours almost black with medium sized foamy cream head and good lacing. The aroma is a mix of bread rolls, lactose, chocolate and roasted malts. In the mouth it lies somewhere between sweet and bitter with flavours of roasted malts, Belgian yeast and hops, coffee and hints of chocolate. Traces of liquorice too after a while. Bitterness is more pronounced in the finish. This is quite nice.

Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a light beige head. Aroma of grass, lime, Belgian yeast, white bread and some pepper. Flavour of grass, white bread, Belgian yeast, hops and some lime. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium level bitterness. Tasteful and fresh.

Can from Carrefour near Mechelen. Hazy light amber with big white head. Spicy yeast, sweet malts, grassy and zesty hops, cardamom, dried apricot. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied, crisp and dry. Lovely.

Draught @ In de Nachtegaal. Pours a slightly misty yellow, white head. Clean with a low bitterness. Seems to, strangely, have fleeting Dupont yeast moments, perhaps a little sulphur. Nice overall.

Fluffy, whipped eggwhite-like head over golden orange beer, finely carbonated. Sweetish and hoppy nose. Faintly spicy/peppery, lemonbalm, orangepeel. Orangepeel returning, spices, other grains (very obviously), dry wild grasses. Quite slick, lightly warming. Aftertaste has a piney, resiny bitterness. Quite good, if maybe slightly less than the average Dupont products. Txs to Stef!
