Bottle at GBBF 2019. Hazy red brown colour sour red fruit almost like a Flemish red. Good strawberry fruit. I thought it was good. Some sourness

From a 500ml can (shared with Butz). Pours a deepish brown with a small head. Smells of Christmas cake, caramel and Belgian yeast. Tastes of Christmas cake, butterscotch, caramel and date. Pretty sweet buy not sickly, with a very modest bitterness. It's ever so slightly boozy but still doesn't seem anywhere like 11%. Full bodied and slightly syrupy with softish carbonation. A decent enough big beer but not super exciting.

Draft. A hazy yellow beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of lemons, hops, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of salt, coriander, fruit, hops, straw, and wheat, leading to a dry salty finish.

Can. Dark brown. Almost no head. Big coconut nose. Tastes just like a Golden Rough, so loads of coconut and very dry milk chocolate. Works but isn't something I'd need much more of.

From a 500ml can on 15/7/2019. Pours a deep brown with a small. Head. Has a huge and rather pleasant coconut aroma with some chocolate in the background. In the mouth there's oodles of milk chocolate and coconut, with a touch of vanilla and cocoa. This is the closest thing you'll get to a Bounty bar in liquid form. Definitely dessert like with a mild bitterness tempering the sweet stuff. The palate is slightly creamy and carbonation softish. Doesn't really drink like an impy and is a bit too quaffable for 8%. All up, a simple big sweet beer, but very well done.

7th July 2019
hazy yellowish cold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate mildly dry, good fine minerally crispness. Thin malts. Quite a floral lemon. Pinch of lemon candy, not that sweet. Light finish. Never has lemon aspen before, so I nice fruit tick. This is crisp and refreshing but I would like it to even punchier.

Can. Black. Huge coffee nose. A little creaminess and some sweetness cutting through, but coffee is most of it. Sort of works.

330ml can into glass. Pours pink and bubbly with no head. Smells sour and yeasty. Drinks like a yeasty mineral water. Slight taste of fruit in the finish. Ephemeral quencher. Not much going on, everything feels a bit dialled back.
