Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Tasting 2013 - London. Tasty stuff. Notes of pee, yeast, pale malts, white bread. Medium sweet. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and hoppy to finish with a bit of Belgian yeast, dried citrus, more pee, some pale bread. Good.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Linnégatan, Stockholm, 9 Nov 2013) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with black coffee, pine needles, ashes and hints of mint. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, pine needles, dark bread, grapefruit, mint and a generous roasty, piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Solid and well made black IPA. Very nice.

Bottle from Ales By Mail, split with JF at the pre 5K tasting, 12/11/13. Hazed dark amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is earthy hops, bitter orange, toasted malt, tropical straw. Taste comprises mandarin, orange pith, orange squash, a little artificial overly sweet orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy finish, sweet finale with hoppy bite. Solid enough APA, a little overly sweet though.

Draught at Söder om Småland, Malmö
Hazy amber color with compact head. The aroma presents sweaty hops and some caramel. Dry mouthfeel, some toffee malt flavor, woody and vegetable bitterness, not very fresh feeling.
