Black beer, thick off-white head. Looks perfect. An interesting combinatiion in both the aroma and taste. Rye, malt, grassy citrus, hops, toastiness, spices. I don't know that I'd want more than one in a sitting but it's nice and impressive that it's balanced well enough for those flavours to each hold their own.

Bottle @ home. Nice typical barley wine red color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly coffee, typical sweet barley wine notes, more coffee notes, which leads to a more bitter finish. Decent to medium body, medium carbonation. Ok.
