Thanks to a bandmate and his girlfriend for this one for my birthday. Pours a hazy golden-orange colour with a big frothy warm-beige head, long lasting giving some thick foamy lace. Earthy notes in the nose with some fruity malts. Apples, mild citrus. The taste is also earthy, reminding me of Brett. Hints of oranges and apples again, with some light spiciness. Written 2 months in red wine barrels, but hard to feel this, as not grape-ish, nor sweet. Maybe a dry red wine, as mild dryness in the finish (but really seems to come from the hops). Which are well-chosen BTW.

A hazed golden weizen with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light strawberry notes, light grassy hops, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt, banana esters, cloves, light mineral notes, OK.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark plum-brown color with a large foamy tan head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, caramel and a light vegetal note. The flavor was sweetish with caramel, toasty malts, a light vegetal presence and mild astringency. Medium length finish. Medium body.
