Description
The Exchange is a new premium brewery and tasting room located in Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Old Town heritage district. Although the town is known as the heart of Ontario’s wine country, it is also the scene of a burgeoning craft-brewing industry. With brewing and agricultural roots that stretch back to the late 1700s, Niagara-on-the-Lake is the perfect home for The Exchange’s approach to brewing, which blends traditional and modern techniques and equipment.
We focus on making exceptional craft beers using only the highest quality ingredients, including local Niagara fruits. Our selection includes a range of American styles along with sour and funky Belgian-style beers and ales.

Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with an off-white frothy head, decent stay and some foamy lacing. Spices in the nose over earthy tones and hints of fruitiness. The taste shows more the sourness that lasts a while on the tongue. The peach does get lost in all of it, but might come back in the finish with tart lingering. A nice wild ale. Just wish the peaches were stronger, and for the rest as well (like the spices).

Pours a hazed copper-amber colour with a nice frothy-creamy beige head, good stay and very creamy lacing. Beautiful cherry nose with some red wine vinegar notes and hints of brown sugars, caramel. The mouthfeel is slightly tarty, woodsy. Wood notes also appear in the taste which takes over the sourness which is lighter here. Darker fruits flavours in the base. A decent bitterness and dryness. Quite a nice Flanders Red.

Can from RCSS. Murky orange amber with a small off white head that recedes quickly to a sheet leaving tight lace. Nose is tropical fruit, citrus, grass, bread and light peach.Flavour is more subdued than the nose with a light sweet base for a medium- grapefruit and grass bitterness. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation. 7/4-/7-/3+/14

Sweet vineousacidic nose. Tart, spur, apples, acidic, pepper, tannine. But at least a rather short finish.

Very enjoyable.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy yellow with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out lots of musty funk, earthy yeast, and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with musty, earthy funk upfront, with brett, and tart citrus. Earthy, funky and tart finish. Very good.
