Keg @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a thin head. It’s an unexciting lager style ale which is crisp but bland.

On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - clear deep amber brown, very thin creamy beige head, weak malty aroma, excellent film of fine lacing, sweet, biscuit, caramel, but of fruit, good carbonation, easy to drink.

Cask at the Hope, Carshalton. It pouts darkest ruby with a bubbly beige head. The nose is rich coffee, toast, earth, treacly sweetness and dirt. The taste is bitter, earthy, roasty, coffee, dirt, toast, pepper and dark chocolate with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Massive coffee action. Decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 3/3/2014. Dark brown in colour with a slight, off-white head. Plain chocolate, some oak, roasted malts, a hint of dark fruit and lingering, rich finish. Very good.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a broken white head. The aroma is citrus fruit and light malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a powerful hop bitter dry spiced pepper palate and a rather odd long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The bitterness was a little odd to start with but it quickly grew on me!

Cask, gravity at Derby, Roundhouse, NWAF, Saturday 22nd February 2014 Pours mid gold good clarity. Bit malty but in particular a biscuity nose and flavour. Typically dependable brew from Raw but overall just a little sweet and lacking especially when compared to the Try also from them. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask, gravity at Derby, Roundhouse, NWAF, Saturday 22nd February 2014 in company of Loz, Dad & Pauline. Pours warm orange/gold good clarity. A little sulphur on nose. Straightforward good hoppy golden ale, that improves on every sip. Getting a little tropically flavour this is rather juicy with some green fresh hops showing, its very nice. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
