Description
Established in 2005 and bottling since 2008. Headed by Phil and brewed by Rob, we’re a small team brewing a wide range of beers in cask, keg, bottle and can. Along with a core offering we also have seasonal brews and a one off brew range called ‘New Tricks’. Experimental recipes are run through our small batch kit before trying them out on the main kit and releasing them to the masses. Some of these have proved so popular that they’ve graduated to our core range.

(Cask at Lyric, Soho, London, 28 Nov 2022) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of peaches, citrus, grass and pineapple. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, peaches, grass, soft malt and a mild citric/grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweeetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Handpull cask at the Blue Bell, Cardiff. Light to mid-golden and clear with a large off-white head. Light lemon and herbal aroma. Tastes sweet, a little bit buttery. More like the hote goldes we see less of nowadays than a proper ISA. Still acceptable.

Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate. Mid-gold and clear with a small white head and a bit of lacing. Peppery hop note on the nose, some hay, metallic notes, light floral scents. Sweet taste, a bit syrupy with light hop near the finish. Oily body, very soft carbonation. Kind of dull but drinkable.

[50cl bottle from Home Bargains, Bracknell.] A straw coloured pour with a loose white head; leafy hop aroma with a little citrus; hoppy taste with a reasonable bite; then some sweet citrus before a herbal finish. Not a bad pale ale given the low price (99p a bottle).
