24th October 2022, mini gathering at Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury; just three of us sharing beers and talking bollox. Cheers Mat for the 33cl bottles of this: BB 22nd March 2028. Brown body, tanned topping, aroma of cobwebs and chocolate, taste was chocolate and malts.

Nice stuff. Very dry! Almost thirst inducing dryness. Nice hops at the end. Good amount of maltiness. Light cremainess there too. Very very nice!

Tap at Takumiya. Bright gold color with a bit of haze. Fresh noble hop nose, herbal, spicy, crisp malt. Amazingly fresh and crisp, lemony and herbal hops, crackery malt, prickly finish. Quite great. The finish is just a bit too rough.

Tap at Beer Bravo Festival. Deep orange color. Nose of tropical fruits, rich malt, light spices, biscuits. Flavor is sweet honey and biscuits, orange, grapefruit, ripe tropical fruits. Very rich. Pretty tasty West Coast style IIPA, not really going anywhere new, but enjoyable.

Tastes a bit soft drink like. But that’s ok given the story behind it.

Soft and bready. Good maltiness but there’s something not quite there for me.

330ml bottle, drunk by the river on a balmy Summer's evening. Hazed amber orange appearance, good white head. Fruity caramel and orange aroma. Taste is smooth on the palate, moderately sweet with some caramel coming through alongside fruity apricot and citrus. Not bad.

Can. Misty pale complexion, medium white head. Not the most vibrant witbier around... Gentle floral aromatics, mild floral yeast character overall, soft carbonation. Ok.

Ise Kadoya x Yuya Boys Yukemurineko IPA 5% Matte gold with a film of eggshell white foam and a fragrant hop bouquet featuring prickly pear, woodsy pine and mild sweet tart notes. Medium to full bodied but finishing quite dry. Up front it is sweet with orange peel citrus notes and woodsy bark + tropical fruit hoppiness. The finish gives you that sweet tart thing in the aftertaste. Nice stuff. 770¥ at CBM Kyoto.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, June 22. Espresso coffee on the nose. Fairly light bodied with malty marshmallow notes coming through, not much coffee but that's fine by me. Expected a little more harmony of flavours but its ok overall.
