Hazy deep amber/orange body with a tall, sticky white head. Juicy malt aroma combined with citrus hop aromas as well as a touch of pine. The taste started bitter with a syrupy sweet, with some kind of medicinal alcohol thing that detracted from the first taste. After the first taste it smoothed out some.

Bomber. Deep, dark red with lace. Aroma of tons of chocolate, citrus, orange, spice. Sweet and soft, with big chocolate, spice. A slight tang but no overt orange. Thick and heavy. Too sweet.

12 oz can from a trade with dmac. Pours slightly hazy orangish color with off white head. Grapefruit rind and caramel aromas. Bitter grapefruit rind flavor with some citrus and a hint of malt sweetness. Thin body with moderate carbonation and a slight dryness. Thanks Dave.

Can from Beer Ritz, Leeds. Great looking can.. man. Poured a vivid copper colour with a restrained but adequate off-white head. Decent resinous piney hop nose with ganja notes. Pleasing hop blastido in the flavour with grapefruit, pith and herb tidings. Good enough balancing sweet malts and dug the hop bitterness. .Probably as tasty a beer as I’ve had thus far in a can. A case of this would find a happy home at my front door.

Can thanks to wavers. Pours a hazy burnt orange with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a good amount of pine hops, with a bit of grapefruit and a sweet grain/cereal backing. Flavor begins with sticky sweet grains but finishes with some bitter pine and a just a bit of grapefruit.

Can: Rustic aroma or wood, peanutshells, pencil shavings, caramel, and overripe orange. Traces of pineapple are there if you strain your olfactory. Clear orange, thick yellow lacy head. drier and more floral on the palate. LiLly and peanut shell. slightly resinous and has a bite on the back end. Well hopped. Not what I expect out of an IPA from the west coast. Distinctive and somewhat enjoyable. I do prefer the more traditonal west coast IPAs but this was good.

22oz bottle picked up at Grapevine
Appearance: Pours clear yellow with a big white head and good lacing
Aroma: Ginger
Taste: Light malts, grassy, ginger with a semi sweet finish
Clean and crisp. The wife liked it, so she drank most of the bottle.

A dark amber ale with a thin off white head, lacing. In aroma, a strage sweet hopped caramel, tropical, carmelized fruits, quite nice and intriguing. In mouth, a tart hoppy alwe with mineral notes, lingering harshness, unbalanced. On tap at Oregon’s Brewers Fest, July 29 2011.
