Description
Ripple Steam began brewing commercially on a farm in Kent in 2012 and gradually expanded. The brewery produced bottled beers as well as cask ales. It also produced a selection of artisan beers according to season.

Cask. Amber colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, caramelly and mildly wooden tones. Flavour is caramel, some floral, fruity and mild earthy tones with some slight wood as well.

Cask in KEGS. Clear burnished gold beer, no head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts. Good ripe citrus. Light marmalade. Touches of floralness and lemon. Light finish. Not bad!

Bottle at home, 26/08/18. Clear golden amber with a decent egg shelll white covering. Nose is fruit slice, biscuit, light caramel, brown bread. Taste comprises biscuit malt, fruit cake, crackers, dusty fruits, toffee, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok bitter.

24th Aug 2018, cask half-pint, gravity pour; 22nd Codsall Station Beer Festival. Orange hue to the bright amber body, wispy head. Malts rule the nose and taste with some bittering hop action coming late on the palate. Nice.

Chelmsfaaarhd winter beer festival. Cask in KEGS. Clear gold beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is light and has just modest fine carbonation. Smooth dry pale malts, mildly sweet. Ripe fruits and ripe citric peel. Light dry finish. Okay.

Chelmsfaaarhd winter beer festival. Cask in KEGS. Clear amber beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Light dry palate, modest fine carbonation. Light malts. Very mild tartness to the citric hops. Light floralness and funk. Light dry finish. Mellow funk here, okay.

Cask at the 2018 Chelmsford & Mid Essex Beer & Cider Festival. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, hop, citrus and straw. Light body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ Chelmsford Beer Festival. Nice head with good suration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, malt, caramel, hops and has a nice bitter finish.
