Cask at the Abel Heywood, Manchester. Deeper golden with a creamy head. It's a slow sipper with a dense hopped character, but also quite smooth in the palate.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Clear mahogany with a at the hick frothy head. It has a crisp bittered red ale maltiness that's very much a signature of this brewer. It's earthy and floral berry-sweet, but mostly in aroma.

Cask, half-pint, autumn festival beer shared with Finn at Lord Wimborne (JDW). Off-white head to a deep red-brownish body, dotted spots on the glass. Semi-sweet smell of dried fruits. Toffee and dried fruity flavours. Bittersweet finish. Quite alright. (Poole 22.10.2019).
