Cask handpull at The County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Amber, lasting beige head. Quite fruity fruit salad fruity bitter. OK condition. Definite tastes a bit like fruit salad kids chews. Some very light hops on finish gives tongue a sitng. OK.

Cask at NWAF 2009. A chestnut colored beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, and vegetables. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, vegetables, alcohol, and caramel, leading to a dry and lightly alcoholic finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, berry fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a average duration. Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Amber with a thin cream head; stewed malt aroma; flavour of stewed malts and caramel; some pleasant hops to finish.

Cask handpull at Samuel Peto, JDW, Folkestone. Not much more than I can add to SilkTork’s rating really other than it tasted a bit of ketchup as well. It’s a brown bitter with some indifferent malt, no real hop presence, a tad of dryness on the end.

Cask @ Counting House. Clear golden colour, small off-white head. Nose is slightly hoppy, fruity, a bit sour apple. Flavour is citric hoppy, biscuit malts, some fruits. A bit watery.

Cask at the Thirsty Scholar, Manchester. Medium golden color, with a citrus aroma. Sour, citrus flavor with spices and pepper. Not a lot of hops. Slight maltiness at the back of the mouth, lots of lemon. Nice enough, but too sour, so it lacks balance.
