Keg at IMBC. It pours cloudy toilet juice brown, chocolate milk with no head, but tan floaters - awful. The aroma is sweet, perfumed, foamy banana, milk chocolate, artifical flavourings, plastic, cheap and fake. The taste is dry, chalky, slick, fake banana flavouring, grainy, fizzy, burnt nuts, earth, perfumed, burnt plastic, tannin, grainy, chocolate powder, over stewed black tea and leather with a chalky, grainy finish. Medium body and fine. Milky mouth feel. Impressive just how bad this beer is. Worst mouth feel ever. Chalky and filthy. Burnt.

Keg at IMBC 2018, session 4. Pours like chocolate milk with no head and flecks of yellow paint on top. Smells like rotten banana, artificial banana flavouring, butyric acid. Tastes awful, extremely astringent, bitter, medicinal. Full bodied, at once oily and chalky, no condition. Warming finish, aggressively bitter, medicinal. Lingering chalk and harsh bitterness. One of the worst things I've ever consumed. I thought Brodie's had hit rock bottom on Thursday night with their perfume marshmallow abomination; I was wrong.

On tap at Indyman, Manchester, Friday 5th October 2018 Pours mid amber with a slim white head, pretty good clarity. Lots of chocolate and and the barrel ageing is noted. Tastes stronger than it is. Good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Keg at IMBC. It pours opaque black with no head and floating marshamallow and plopping candy head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, sweaty and roasted malt. The taste is dry, oily, sticky, burnt toast, marshmallow, burnt toast, astringent, perfumed, vanilla, spice and charred action with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Odd for sure. Weird.

Keg at IMBC 2018, session 1. Pours deep brown with no head - just lump marshmallows floating on top. Smells like potpourri, perfume. Tastes terrible, astringent, aggressively bitter, more perfume. Medium bodied, no carbonation, no condition. Astringent finish, more burnt flowers, perfume. An embarrassing beer. This would appear to mark a fitting nadir for Brodie's, a brewery that has faded into complete obselescence over the past five years.
