Had this many times at Flora Hall on tap before this pandemic... hence the danger sauce. Dark brown colour with a warm beige, creamy head, good retention and creamy lacing. Belgium yeast aromas with mild dark fruits and chocolate malts. Hints of bananas. Mouthfeel is fairly refreshing, very lightly dry, but overall on the wet side. More wheat in the taste adding sweetness and banana notes. Nice grassy hops in the finish, but not overloaded. Easy to drink Quadrupel that has less dark fruits and slightly more hops in the end (expected from this brewery).

Can that pours a real dark brown colour with a little copper highlights. The head is warm mocha-coloured, frothy, with decent stay and some creamy lacing. Roasted malt aromas with hints of coffee and chocolate. The hops are present in the flavours, but milder than most of their beers, creating a nice dry finish that helps the drinkability. Roasted malt again, lighter coffee and a tad of molasses, dark fruits. A very nice take on the original The Darkness, which has the alcohol content, but easier to drink. This is quite good !

Can that pours a clean, light yellow-straw colour with a big white cap, good stay and some thick foamy lacing at the base. This Cashmere hop is quite interesting. Different, but I am liking it in here. It is a nice mix of citrus, slight sourness, with some coriander and a touch of watermelon to calm things down. Hints of grassiness do come out with time. The taste shows some cereal grain form the pilsner malt, but this Cashmere hop has not finished pushing its agenda. Herbal, leafy, but also nutty. The mouthfeel is dry enough to enjoy the drinkability. A nice combination of this malt and hop.

Pours a clean golden colour with bubbly white cap that has average retention, and leaves a little soapy lacing. Cereal grain aromas with some yeast and very light hops that blend things with some grassiness, leaf hoppiness. The taste is malty with graininess, but mild like a lager should be. Enough hops in the finish to make this drinkable, and not rich and syrupy like gross macro lagers. Just a well-brewed regular lager with great ingredients.

Can: Poured a dark brown color ale with a large light brown foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of deep caramelized malt notes with some cereal notes is pleasant. Taste is also dominated by deep caramelized malt notes with some cereal notes and a dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. Enjoyable but doesn’t have the candi sugar and dry fruit notes that I usually associated with the style, this is a closer to an imperial brown ale.

Got this 650ml bottle from the brewery, probably 2 years ago. Pours a clean darker amber colour with some ruby hues. Frothy-bubbly beige head that leaves a little cap on the brew. Aromas of caramel, coffee, lots of dark fruits and hints of nuts. The taste really shows off lots of raisins, but the end is not too sticky, nor too sweet, rich so it helps this one go down. Some light grassiness with the hops in the finish, creating a decent dryness. Very well-brewed.

Can: Poured a slightly hazy bright yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy and juicy hops is enjoyable. Taste is a good mix of citrusy hops notes with some juicy hops undertones with a dry and somewhat grainy malt base with a dryer then expected finish. Body is a bit light for style with good carbonation. Not bad but dryer then expected with maybe more malt and les hops then expected.

Can: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry bready malt notes with dry hops notes with slight citrus notes. Taste is quite dry with bready malt notes and light citrus hops notes with a dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. OK but nothing I would necessarily seek on a regular basis.
