Bottle from Drink? Hebden Bridge. Pale-blond with next to no head. Not the most active drink out of the bottle, nor much flavour. May have been affected. The style remains, not a bad ale imitation of a German beer with some fruitiness just evident.

Bottle from Wine And Beer Direct, Halifax. Hazy pale amber with a very thin head. Has a light but decent fruity aroma and taste with orange involved.

Bottle from Wine And Beer Direct, Halifax. Blond with a thin head. There’s more of a smattering of pilsner malt here although it’s within a fine ale body and texture with a fair fruitiness. Very good.

Cask at GBBF ’14, day 2, 13/08/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is earthy hops, candied orange peel, light pine, mango. Taste comprises earthy hops, straw, orange pith, lick of pine, light grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid GB action.

Cask (Fitzgeralds, Newcastle) - Golden in colour. Sulphur, lemon and biscuity malt in the aroma. Sulphur, lemon and a hint of gooseberries can be detected in the taste. The sulphur notes (intentional or not) are not very enjoyable for me.

Cask (Fitzgeralds, Newcastle) - Amber in colour. Peach, toffee and apricot in the aroma. Sultanas, peach and dried apricot all feature in the taste.

Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Thanks to Chris? Aroma is musty and funky, alcohol present in the nose. Opaque black coloured pour wit a light tan big bubble head. Flavour is musty wood, some brett maybe, toffee, dark choc, musty with warming alcohol in the finish. Pretty raw and rough round the edges. Palate is fully bodied, fairly dry and woody on the tongue. Pretty interesting beer.
