On cask at Port Street Beer House, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out soft bready malt, gentle tangy hops, and a hint of floral character. Flavour is well-hopped, with bitter floral and tangy hops, and a soft bready malt base. Reasonable expression of the Rakau, finishing bitter and dry. Good.

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Mid-gold, almost clear with a small loose white head and good uneven lacing. Lovely if slightly muted aroma with grapefruit, satsuma. Out if this world taste with loads of citrus peel and stone fruit (nectarine?) and some malty vanilla character hitting from all angles. Finish turns nicely bitter. Gentle body. A masterful beer.

Cask ale, half-pint, shared with Finn at Harp. Bright late straw coloured body, spotty lacing, filmy layer. Inviting fresh grapefruits on the nose. Similar fresh citrus flavours, lemon and grapefruit. Prolonged citrus ending. Well kept cask, tasty. (London, 29.09.2023).

Shared third of a pint at the 31st Shrewsbury Beer Festival in St Mary's Church on 28th September 2023. Mini-haze to the golden pour, white head. Citrus front with a pale malty center and finish.
