Earl Of Essex. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small bubbly white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Smooth pale malt, light touch of sweetness. Hops are quite pithy bitter but have a touch of juicy fruits. Bare whisper of esters. Semi dry finish with a touch of lemon and grapefruit marmalade. Not bad.

Clear blond appearance. Has a very floral hoppy aroma. Flavour has initial pale malts then fruity hop bitter-sweetness. The background does have a slight fruity sweet & sourness from the cranberry.

Clear, pale blond. Aroma and flavour of pale malts. Pleasantly smooth although a tad on the thin side. Delivers a lot of flavour for it’s low alcohol content. Decent kick of hop in the finish.

On keg at the Three Tuns, Bristol 20/12/2013. Golden in colour, with a slight white head and moderate fizziness. Floral hoppiness, tangerine fruits and a hint of lemon, with some balancing cereal maltiness and dryish finish. Good.

Cask (gravity) @ The New Oxford, 11 Bexley Sq, Salford, Manchester, England M3 6DB.Clear dark brown black color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate - dark chocolate, chili fruit, smoke - earthy - chili. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, hot hot chili, chili burn. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. IMO. This is not stout with chili ... it is chili with stout !!! *

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. Jammy citrus on the nose, light pine. Medium sweet flavor with lots of grassy and rindy bitterness, lots of jammy fruits, slight bubblegum, pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately resinous on the finish with slick and rindy citrus fruits, harsh earth and grass. So so.
