Keg at Maltings, York. It pours near black with a thick tan head. The nose is coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, earth and a touch of cabbage. The taste is rich roasted malt, coffee, earth, burnt notes, moderate bitterness and a touch of cocoa with a dry, bitter finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome. A tasty stout indeed.

Aroma: Tangerine, apricot and passionfruit.
Appearance: Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Light carbonation. Good lacing.
Taste: Up front fruit flavours - nice passionfruit linger. Much more hoppy than it is malty.
Palate: Thin to medium boy with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation fizz.
Overall: Very drinkable and moreish. A lovely, juicy American Pale Ale.
