Cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham - 22/08/12. Clear golden copper with a minimal white head that soon thins. Caramel malt nose with a little hops. Malt forward taste, caramel, toffee, biscuit. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a bitter finish.

Bottle. A dense, two-finger off-white head head forms over a clear, dark golden body. Quite weak aroma, with caramel maltyness and some fruity hops. Biscuity malts and a faint roasted touch. Sweet flavor with maltyness, caramel and some fruityness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Mostly bitter end. A superbly boring one, but it’s sure drinkable, the bitterness is the best thing about it. 120720

[Cask at the Old Board Inn, Hawes] Amber-gold, thick white (sparkler) head. Sweet at first, with light hints of lemon & biscuit. Surprisingly dry finish. Rather bland overall, but OK.

Bottle in Aarhus, courtesy of camons. Thanks Rene! Dark golden orange appearance with a tan head. Toasty malty, light caramel, somewhat straw aroma. Pretty solid, toffee, caramel, earthy flavor. Not bad.
